The importance of data protection.
As our world becomes increasingly connected, data is being accessed, stored and transmitted by more devices than ever before. In the past 12 months, 69% of Australian companies have suffered at least one data breach*. Global research also shows that 31% of customers will terminate their relationship with an organisation following a data breach**. These statistics are just a few examples of why implementing security measures to protect sensitive data from loss and unauthorised access is no longer a compliance issue - it is a key business imperative.
During the webinar, IT security and business continuity experts James Turner and Andrew Fry led discussions on how to:
- Keep your business up and running in the event of a security breach or other unplanned incident
- Protect your organisation’s critical data from internal and external threats, and proactively respond to data risks and opportunities
- Reduce the cost and complexity of data back up and protection
- Protect business data in transit and at rest, including data stored on mobile devices such as laptops and removable storage devices
- Implement cost effective solutions for endpoint encryption, end point data loss prevention and log analysis management
- Implement cost effective solutions for secure data backup and restore management
